MEANING OF THE MINOR ARCANA

The cards of the Minor Arcana of the Tarot are divided into 56 cards. These, in turn, are divided into four suits: golds, cups, swords and wands. Each suit has ten cards numbered from one to ten, and four court cards: the king, the queen, the knight (horses) and the page (jack). Although the suits and names of the cards may vary slightly by region, the Spanish deck largely follows the same system as the Tarot deck.
